Desktop Grid Computing model which is cheap compared to costly Cloud Computing model is growing anyways with even the so called (highly abstractly) lower middle class in India owning these machines.
And there is every reason, Indian Citizens need to become stakeholders by donating CPU Time
As at the End of the Day, it is the collaborative Work done that matters.
